Christmas lights glowing, blurred

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The Champaign Center Partnership (CCP) will host the 25th Annual Parade of Lights, presented by Wells Fargo Advisors: Manolakes Investments, on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

The holiday celebration will begin at a new start time of 5:00 p.m. in downtown Champaign, offering a festive evening filled with lights, music, and community spirit.

This year’s event will also feature WinterFest on Neil Street Plaza, starting at 12:00 p.m. The afternoon festival will include live performances from local musicians, pop-up vendors, and delicious holiday treats, creating an all-day celebration leading up to the parade.

The festivities will coincide with Small Business Saturday, encouraging visitors to shop and dine at downtown Champaign businesses throughout the day.

Community members are invited to participate by registering floats, signing up to volunteer, or becoming event sponsors. Current sponsors include Jos. Kuhn & Co., Kraft Heinz, and Coca-Cola, among others.

“The Parade of Lights has been a holiday tradition for 25 years, but this milestone year is about more than just celebration,” said Jenna Manolakes, Executive Director of the Champaign Center Partnership. “By aligning the parade and WinterFest with Small Business Saturday, we’re highlighting the businesses that make our community thrive. We want to fill downtown with people discovering new shops, supporting local restaurants, and creating lasting memories together.”
