Persons of interest in counterfeit money case

SAVOY, Ill. (WAND) - Two people are wanted for questioning in connection with counterfeit money being used at a Savoy grocery store. 

The Champaign County Sheriff's Office was called to the Schnucks in Savoy on April 24 for a report of fake money being used. 

Deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying two people who are wanted for questioning in connection with this incident.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office at (217) 384-1204. Arrangements can be made to provide information confidentially.

Individuals wishing to remain anonymous may submit tips to Crime Stoppers by calling 217-373-8477 (TIPS). Crime Stoppers tips are completely anonymous—calls are routed through a third-party national call center, caller ID is not utilized, and conversations are not recorded.
