Catlin woman pleads guilty to helping produce, sell animal crush videos

(WAND) - A Catlin woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to helping produce and sell animal crush videos showing monkeys being violently tortured.

Catlin is about seven miles northeast of Danville.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Western District of Pennsylvania, 33-year-old Amanda Fourez was part of a conspiracy ring that created animal crush videos.

The videos depicted monkeys being purposely subjected to serious injuries, which were then sent to other group members and chat groups over instant messaging.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said that Fourez admitted to sending at least 11 payments to others to create animal crush videos, and also distributing such videos about 10 times.

Fourez will be sentenced Aug. 27 and faces up to seven years in prison.
