SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A man was found dead near a construction site in Springfield Thursday.Â
The Sangamon County Coroner confirmed the death of a 66-year-old Springfield man, who was found near a construction site in the 1000 block of North Grand Avenue East.Â
The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:15 a.m.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place Thursday.
The man's name has not been released yet. The death remains under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Springfield Police Department.
