DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A local organization is inviting residents to an elegant night out, with some adorable dogs.
Pawprint Ministries will host the Fur Ball 2026: Legacy from 5:30-9 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Mt. Zion Convention Center.
It's the organization's biggest fundraiser of the year and will include a plated dinner and full bar, silent and live auctions, and visits with comfort dogs.
The legacy theme centers around "What you build while you are here."
Jennifer Dahn, founder and executive director of Pawprint Ministries, said central Illinois has helped Pawprint Ministries build its legacy.
"Honestly, it's the community that has come together to help us to start to build this legacy, and it's going to be the community that carries us through to continue this legacy here that we've started in central Illinois," Dahn said.
The event is black-tie optional.
Tickets are available online.
