SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A Sangamon County man was arrested Friday morning in connection with a sexual assault of a teen in 2024. 

According to a Sangamon County spokesperson, the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office got a tip in April that a 15-year-old had been sexually assaulted in 2024 at their home on Dirksen Parkway. 

Following an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for 45-year-old Vincent Kallal. 

Sangamon County officials took Kallal into custody around 10:30 a.m. on Friday in the 700 block of South Durkin Drive. 

Kallal faces charges, including three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, one count of criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. 

The investigation is ongoing.
