CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The Champaign school board picked its new leadership team Monday night.
Tony Bruno was selected as the Unit 4 board president and Christy Arnold as the vice president.
Fatima Ahmed was also voted in as board secretary.
The board then approved interim superintendent Daniel Casillas as the new deputy superintendent when Dr. Geovanny Ponce takes over the official role this summer.
Ponce said this will help with his transition and ensure success for the district.
