WESTVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — One man is dead after his home caught fire in Vermilion County Thursday night.
According to the Vermilion County Coroner, 65-year-old Bryan J. Adams died after his house caught fire near the intersection of Sunset Drive and Hickman Street in Westville.
Westville is just under 6 miles south of Danville.
The Westville Fire Department responded for reports of a barn on fire behind the house around 11:30 p.m.
Firefighters found a garage on fire and heavy smoke and fire in the home when they arrived.
The department said crews were on scene for around 12 hours.
It is unclear how the fire started.
