NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WAND) — #7-seed Illinois will take on #2-seed Vanderbilt in the 2nd round of the Women's NCAA Tournament on Monday evening.
It will be a road game for Illinois at Vanderbilt.
Top-four seeds in the women's tournament host the first two rounds.
When asked if they like that component to the women's tournament, Illinois players had mixed feelings. Some believed it's not as fair as the men's tournament, while others like the idea of beating a team on the road.
Head Coach Shauna Green said she hopes all NCAA Tournament games will be at neutral sites in the future.
Monday's game will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. at Vanderbilt.
With a win, Illinois would reach its first Sweet Sixteen since 1998.
