Unity Christian High School volleyball coach Rhonda Glidewell has announced her retirement after 12 seasons. 

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Unity Christian High School volleyball coach Rhonda Glidewell has announced her retirement after 12 seasons. 

Unity Christian said that Glidewell is retiring following a run where her teams won four straight IHSA regional championships. 

Glidewell took over the Lions in 2018 and had a run of five consecutive seasons with at least 27 wins, including the last three with over 30 wins, according to Unity Christian.

The Lions went 163-36 over Glidewell's final six seasons. 

"I have been truly blessed to call Unity Christian Volleyball my family. Now it is time for me to spend time with my own family and welcome the excitement of becoming a grandma," Glidewell said in a statement. 

Glidewell finished her high school coaching career with a 244-166-2 record in 12 seasons, including a 182-84 mark at Unity Christian.
