A dense fog advisory is in place this morning.png

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Thursday! The heavy rain has started to move eastward out of Illinois. There could be a few more scattered showers for the southern half of the area, but most of Central Illinois will stay dry. A dense fog advisory is in place for areas along and north of I-72, so expect visibility issues for the morning commute.

Temperatures will warm up into the upper 50s this afternoon, but it will stay overcast. Rain chances return overnight into Friday morning, but they will be very scattered. Most of the area will be dry for the afternoon.

Temperatures will soar into the 70s by the afternoon on Friday as a warm front moves into the Midwest. This could trigger some strong thunderstorms, but the afternoon storms are staying further north. Overnight storms will be strong and could reach severe limits.
