DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - The Danville Police Department’s Emergency Response Unit will be conducting training exercises throughout the city today, March 30, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Residents may notice an increased presence of police officers, vehicles, and possible simulated emergency activity in various areas of the city during this time.
Officials stress that this is only a training exercise. There is no immediate threat to the public.
Authorities ask residents to:
- Avoid training areas if possible.
- Follow any directions given by officers on site.
The Danville Police Department thanks the community for their awareness and cooperation while these exercises are underway.
