DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Decatur Area Habitat for Humanity said it is temporarily pausing operations to reorganize and strengthen its mission.Â
The Board of Directors made the decision to pause all operations effective Friday, November 21 through the end of the year. This includes the ReStore and Christmas Shop.Â
Habitat said this is not a permanent closure. They said they are making a strategic step to reorganize and strengthen the organization so they can continue to serve families for years to come.Â
They plan to reopen early 2026.Â
During the pause, people are told to call the office line if they have any questions at (217) 425-6446. A member of the Board will return calls.Â
