DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - One man was arrested and charged with armed robbery following an hours-long standoff in Decatur Friday afternoon.

The Decatur Police Department said that Jerrion Jarrett was arrested after barricading himself inside a home.

Decatur police said the standoff took place around 4 p.m. near the intersection of West Grand Avenue and North Edward Street.

DPD told WAND News that officers were investigating an armed robbery near the area, and believed two suspects were barricaded inside a home nearby.

SWAT officers and a K-9 unit eventually joined police and surrounded the home, demanding that those inside come out unarmed with their hands up.

According to Decatur police, only Jarrett was inside. Police are still looking for the whereabouts of the second suspect, who has not been identified.

More details about the robbery were released in court documents. Officials said three men, including Jarrett, robbed him as he was walking to the T'bacco Shack. He said they showed riles with switches to turn them into automatic weapons and demanded his almost $19,000 Rolex watch.

The victim said he recognized the men as three who he would see on the porch of a home in the 1200 block of N. Edwards St.

When officers arrested Jarrett at the residence, they said they found the Rolex watch hidden inside a shoe.
