DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Thousands of customers are still without power in Vermilion and Champaign counties following severe weather Thursday across central Illinois.Â
At 2:15 p.m. Saturday, PowerOutage.com reported the following counties with outages:
- Champaign County - 1,164
- Vermilion County - 2,719
Strong storms produced several tornado warnings Thursday afternoon into the evening hours. Â
At their peak, outages were above 35,000.
Thursday's storms produced damaging winds, heavy rains, and possible tornadoes. The storms followed a round of severe weather late Wednesday night.Â
