The Bean Ballers, comprised entirely of college athletes, will kick off its inaugural season Tuesday, May 26, at Millikin University's Workman Family Baseball Field.

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Decatur's baseball team is set to play its first game in the Soy City.

The Bean Ballers, comprised entirely of college athletes, will kick off its inaugural season Tuesday, May 26, at Millikin University's Workman Family Baseball Field.

Bean Ballers General Manager Jacob Watkins shared more about the Prospect League's newest club.

"We're a summer Prospect League team. The Prospect League has 20 teams from about seven states represented, and it's just good baseball. But also, a big thing is, we do a lot of theme nights and community involvement as well," Watkins said. 

The team is also in need of host families during the season.
