DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - It's soaking wet. Can we catch a break? The short answer is yes, but an overall stormy weather pattern will continue through early May.

The current batch of rain will exit to the southeast later tonight. While no bona fide rain is in the forecast for tomorrow, there can be a quick morning shower.  The problem is a lack of sunshine to help dry things.

The elusive free vitamin D returns Thursday, but only for a cameo. The next round of thunderstorms is set for Friday. Another round of rain and thunder Saturday night into part of Mother's Day. And yet another dose of H2O by the middle of next week.

If there is a silver lining, the risk of severe weather looks minimal. Perhaps that is little comfort to the water-logged fields.

Happy Mother's Day! Stay safe, stay dry and stay weather-aware.
